Four years after rebuilding their lives from heartbreak, Leah and Chris Johnson have created a family grounded in love, trust, and resilience. But when the man who once abandoned them returns—and the people closest to them begin turning support into surveillance—the fragile peace they’ve built starts to fracture.
The most dangerous betrayals, they learn, wear familiar faces. As loyalty collides with self-preservation, Leah and Chris must confront an agonizing truth: some wounds can only heal by stepping away from those who caused them.

I write literary fiction that explores second chances, imperfect love, and the beauty found in life's unexpected chapters. My debut novel, Harmonies of Hope, has been consistently a #1 Amazon bestseller, and the second book in my Healing Hearts series, Rhythms of Resilience, hit #1 New Release within 24 hours of launch. Both are available in ebook, print, and audiobook formats.
My love for writing ignited in high school, where I filled journals with observations about the world around me and crafted short stories that earned publication in our school's literary magazine, early proof that I had something to say and a voice worth hearing. I come from a family of writers. My mother, a retired English major legendary for her exacting grammatical standards, trained me and my siblings to revere the precision of language. My father, an accomplished writer and gifted mathematician, passed down both creative and analytical gifts. From them, I inherited a rare combination: the writer's heart and the logical mind. That duality, the belief that every word matters and every structure must hold, remains the bedrock of my craft today.
By day, I lead a software development team at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. A black belt in Taekwondo and dedicated weightlifter, I bring the same discipline and resilience to my writing that I apply to my professional and athletic pursuits, crafting stories where strength comes in many forms.
I live in suburban Maryland with my husband Joe and our three children, balancing defense work with creating fiction that celebrates hope, healing, and the resilience of the human spirit.
